The Survivors.Open. Dog Roleplay.

A large earthquake hit the earth. It separated many continents, Australia being the most affected. It split in three, and the two newer islands grew. The bigger of the two new islands was called Kaol. The smaller one which never has good weather, is called, Outcast's Island, a place for those who have been exiled, or just chose to either be loners, or be alone for a while. On the other continents, an international crisis has begun. Many things were destroyed, damaged, or lost. Famine has hit the earth, and humans basically turned on each other. The dogs were disposed of, put on the surviving boats, then were left in the water. The humans didn't want them scavenging on the litter food they had. The canines swam, and eventually stumbled upon the two islands, and all of them settled on Kaol. Here they hunt, live, and survive, without those humans.
Rules:
.No chatspeak allowed. Use correct grammar and punctuation also.
.Most at least more than two complete sentences.
.No force breeding or mating.
.Natural colored canines only, but purple eyes are allowed.
.No Mary/Gary Sues.
.No godmodding.
.No super powers.
.Please try to stay loyal to this roleplay.
.The leader's word is law. Disobey and suffer the consequences.
.No graphic births, breedings, or killings.
.Do not roleplay until accepted.
.Use common sense.

Explanation of the Ranks.
Leader: Ruler of the Pack, his/her word is law.
Leader's Mate: Mate of the Leader, must win the leader's heart first.
Second in Command: If the Leader dies, he/she takes his/her place.
Second in Command's Mate: Mate of Second in Command.
Healer: If a dog gets sick or hurt, he/she takes care of them.
Fighters: If a war begins, they fight, or if invaded by another animal.
Hunters: Hunts the food for the Pack.
Guards: If another dog invades their territory, they see to it that they leave, also keep watch for any humans {which is a rare event}
Patrol: Walks around the territory to make sure everything is in order.
Scouts: If a new territory is found, these dogs explore it first.
Sitters: Generally female- they watch the pups if the mother is missing or dead. Also extra help.
Females Expecting: Pregnant Females.
Pups: The young ones.

I saw Ash arrive back at camp with a hare. “Nice hunt.†I said nodding. I walked over to a stream and gingerly stuck my nose in the cold, numbing water. My nose was numb now and I continued on hunting. I had found another squirrel, and caught it. I felt good about the hunt and curled up in my den. I soon fell asleep.

I laid down in the snow near camp knawing on a small bone.I was suppose to be hunting but I'd get around to it.I was more of an ambush predator myself really.So right now technically I was waiting for the oppurtune moment to strike.Any excuse was good enough to get me a few moments alone.I'm not good in crowds and my mom always used to say I'd be the one to end up a loner.Now I'm just a lonely hunter.I caught the faint scent of a squirrel and a moment to late saw it rush up a tree.I barked at it furiously which made it scamper up higher into the tree.I figured this was a good time to actually do my job.Being a young three year old I had stamina and I was usually quick when it came to chasing.I caught the scent of a hare, it was faint but easy to follow.I approached the furry hare silently making my way through the soft snow.When it looked up I could see it's ears and nose twitching violently and I could tell it knew I was there.I seized my chance and raced after it.It was a fast sucker but I tripped it acciedantly and bit down on it's neck trying to stop it from squirming.I hoped the leader would at least be pleased I brought something back even though it was no more than a mesly hare.I picked it up in my jaws and started to pad off to camp through the snow thinking about the warm tree hollow I would soon be sleeping in.I spied through the trees and caught sight of Bee carrying a limp raccon.I walked up silently to her as she made her way back to camp.

Bee raced through the snow, hot in pursuit of a grey squirrel. It raced up a tree, she stood watching, barked her anger and walked away. “Darn.†She growled. She sniffed and caught scent of a raccoon. She crouched and looked around, searching for the creature. She heard the raccoon shuffling through the creek bed, searching for a clam. She lurched forward slowly and pounced. She got it by the scruff of the neck, she shook her head, it was weaker but it still raked it’s claws on her nose. She winced but held fast. She gave one more shake and it lay limp. She proudly walked back it camp, her nose still stinging.
